Familiarisation Trip

Meet volunteers from partner sites and learn more about Thanet's heritage on this afternoon tour, visiting the Margate Caves, Drapers Windmill, Dickens House Museum, Ramsgate Tunnels, Manston History Museum and the Spitfire & Hurricane Memorial Museum.

This project was initiated by The Margate Caves Community Education Trust, and works with fellow stakeholder Thanet District Council. Funding has been given by the National Lottery Heritage Fund for a two-year pilot project, with further funding by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
